Happy Poppy

“Happy Poppy” is the first is a series of three macro flower paintings. Macro is a magnified point of view, as if you are close enough to smell the flower. This is an oriental poppy that attracted me because of it’s striking dark center. It was painted in the middle of the summer and the bright colors and curling petals just made me happy!

This is an oriental poppy - the first in a series of three Macro flower paintings. I love the orange and gold with touches of lavender throughout. It was summer and all health issues were quiet...serene!
