The “Pilgrim’s Gate” is inspired by the famous book Pilgrim’s Progress; an allegory of a Christian’s journey through this life. It is one of my favorite books and this gate plays a big role at the start of Christian’s journey. I made the background vague so that each viewer can decide for themselves what is on the other side of the gate.

I never knew that apple blossom’s were so intricate and beautiful until I stopped to paint this. I especially like the buds that have not even unfolded yet!
Sunflower Renewal

I painted this while I was recovering from a very hard hospital stay. Just painting a sunny flower lifted my spirits!
Winter Stream

I really enjoyed this painting. One lesson learned was that shadows and reflections are NOT the same thing!
Used But Useful

This old boat has clearly been painted many times with various colors. Most of the layers have peeled off but the rope suggests that it is still being used. I was having a hard time physically while I was painting and I often felt like this title…used but still useful!
